About Me

Hello! I’m Jackson Terrance, and I am a professional writer.

I have been writing my whole life. Whether I wrote my short stories on paper or reenacted them using my Polly Pockets, I was always coming up with new stories, plots, and characters.

It wasn’t until I turned 12 that I wrote my first book. Inspired by a dream of dancing, faceless people and DNA tests, I decided I’d write out the dream into a trilogy. Instead, it would up being 100 Microsoft Word pages in 18 point font. Still, it was my first book.

While I was a sophomore in high school, one of my friends introduced me to Wattpad.com. I mainly used the site to read Labyrinth fanfiction, but seeing all the amazing, cheesy bad boy and werewolf romance novels inspired me to try writing again. So, what was supposed to be a Labyrinth fanfiction turned into a feminist novel about how it's hard to see the signs of an abuser and how hard it can be to leave him once you’ve depended on him too much (though it didn’t turn into that type of book overnight; it took years of editing and rewriting to get there).

After I wrote the first draft of “Imperfection,” I kept on writing. Instead of reenacting my stories through my Polly Pockets, I had a way to flush out my characters and stories. By the time I was a junior in high school, I’d write a minimum of four books a year! I still proudly do.

As I wrote more and continued to post my books on Wattpad, the head editors would feature some of my books on the site. More people read my books, and I even earned the title of Wattpad Star, making me one of the most promising writers on the site.

With more responsibility attached to my name, I realized I would have to make some changes. Since I started writing while I was an edgy, high schooler, I had some books left up on my page they either didn’t align with my morals anymore or would be harmful to a younger audience. Some books I deleted from my page and some I revised to remove those harmful parts. It was one of the hardest decisions I had to make, because I always incorporated a small part of myself into all of my books. Deleting them felt as if I were erasing a part of myself. But, for the sake of the younger audience who could easily find and read my books, I deleted them.

I continued to write all throughout high school and college. While I was studying for my bachelor’s degree, I ended up writing for a ghostwriting company called The Urban Writers. I didn’t know a lot about ghostwriting until I started working for them, and I had no idea how much I’d love it until I finished my first project.

While I will always be grateful to The Urban Writers for introducing me to ghostwriting, I’ve decided to write on my own again. I love meeting all of my clients and getting to know them so I can write exactly what they want and leave them 100% satisfied with the work.

That’s why I’m so excited to get to know you! I’m very excited to work with you and write out your thoughts and ideas, bringing them to life. It's daunting to write books or blogs when you don’t know how. That’s why I’m here to help! Contact me today, and we’ll start writing your way to a better life!
